70 Former Dell Employees File A Lawsuit Against Dell Philippines

70 of the 1000+ employees of Dell Pasay, who were forced to resign as part of the company’s transition to Teleperformance, headed to the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) to file a lawsuit against Dell International Services Philippines, Incorporated yesterday.

The 70 former employees claim that the immediate dismissal of the employees is against their employment contracts.

According to Labor Secretary Marianito Roque, the termination of the said employees was not mass retrenchment and has nothing to do with the prevailing global financial crisis.

Dell Philippines is yet to give out a statement regarding the issue as they have not received a copy of the compaints against them yet, says Dell corporate communications head Hector Jimenez.

Why did my post SUDDENLY disappear from Google?

I created a post about the recent Boyet Fajardo Scandal. I optimized the page for Google search engines and I did it the correct and legal way. However, after getting about 200+ views, all of a sudden, my post was lost from Google!

I don’t know what happened but it just really disappeared. Hmmmm…

Boyet Fajardo Duty Free Scandal | CCTV video

It’s been in the news, and he’ll be facing charges from Duty Free. Boyet Fajardo – the self-absorbed RTW owner fashion designer. How dare he say “Ako si Boyet Fajardo!” SO?? I don’t even know you!

Being accomplished does not give you any right to berate and demoralize any person! I just can’t contain Boyet Fajardo’s arrogance that I had to blog about it!

Duty Free announced that they are considering a lawsuit against Boyet Fajardo for maltreating their employees.

What happened was Boyet Fajardo used a credit card to pay for his bill, however he was not able to present any signed valid ID, which is really required when you use credit cards for purchase. Didn’t he know that? Then he started yelling and cursing while pointing fingers at the Duty Free staff. He did not spare the supervisormanager. He said he would like the male cashier to kneel down and apologize. Just so that the emotional torture and embarrassment would finally end, the poor guy knelt down in front of Boyet Fajardo and apologized in tears. Here’s the CCTV tape of the Boyet Fajardo Scandal at Duty Free:

Please do not patronize Boyet Fajardo’s products!! He is a shame!

Bayani Agbayani Video Scandal | Watch Online

A video scandal about Bayani Agbayani has been spreading throughout the internet. The video was taken by a man who witnessed how inappropriately Bayani Agbayani acted one night. From what I can see on the video footage, I think the incident happened somewhere in Fort Bonifacio, if I’m not mistaken.

Here the entire footage of the Bayani Agbayani video scandal:

Here’s another blog entry about the Bayani Agbayani scandal video from my friend.

Dell Pasay Loses Grip, Gives in to Teleperformance

Today is the saddest day for all Dell Philippines employees.

Just this morning, the Dell management announced the closure of Dell Pasay. Teleperformance bought Dell Pasay for 200+ Million Pesos*, including the employees, the facilities, existing contracts and all the liabilities of the company.

The Dell Pasay management team gave their employees 4 days to decide whether to stay or leave. If they stay, Teleperformance will acquire them as regular-probationary employees (they will experience the benefits of a regular employee, but will undergo probationary evaluation, which means they can still be terminated within 3-6 months if they fail to perform as expected).

Dell reportedly allotted 7.5 Million Pesos for the retention/separation package to be given to all employees. All the employees shall be paid 1/2 times their monthly salary per year of service. This means if I have worked for Dell for 2 years, I will get a retention/separation package that’s equal to 1 month of my salary. If I choose to stay, the retention package shall be taxable, and non-taxable if I choose to leave. In addition to this, the employees also get to receive their very last ICP (the yearly performance bonus, which is normally 100 – 150% of their salary per cut off). All their remaining leave credits will also be carried over to Teleperformance if they stay. Employees who choose to stay will get the same basic salary, but the allowances shall be slashed off the package.

I was an employee of Dell Pasay for 1 year and 4 months until September of last year when I got fed up with selling. Now I realized that I have made the right move to transfer to ACS when I felt that I already needed to do so. If I stayed in Dell, I could have been one of the unfortunate guys who are crying at 7-11 with a bottle of beer while trying to survive the dilemma.

Updates:

  • Retention bonus will only be given to employees who will stay after rendering 3 months with Teleperformance
  • Before employees get to sign the contract with Teleperformance, they are required to submit a resignation letter addressed to Dell first. (forced resignation)

Francis Magalona Succumbs to Cancer: Paalam Master Rapper

Earlier today Vic Sotto announced The Master Rapper, Francis Magalona’s death before the long time running noon time show, Eat Bulaga started.

About 6 months ago, it can be remembered that Francis Magalona was diagnosed with leukemia, while the Eat Bulaga team was doing performances outside the country. It was a short fight and he seemed to have emerged victorious, coming back to Eat Bulaga after a few weeks of treatment.

In the beginning of this year, Francis worked with Eli Buendia, who is a survivor of a highly publicized heart attack, on a project called “The Sickos Project.”

Francis Duran Magalona (October 4, 1964 – March 6, 2009), also known as FrancisMMaster Rapper, and The Man From Manila, was a prominent Filipino rapper, songwriter, producer, actor, director, and photographer. He is also credited as being the first Filipino rapper in the Philippines to successfully crossover to the mainstream. He was also popularly known as the “King of Pinoy Rap” and was considered one of the most idolized, celebrated and influential rappers within the genre. (excerpt from Wikipedia)

In January, Magallona posted on his blog on Multiply that he will be undergoing his 4th Chemo Cycle and he will be admitted at the Medical City while in treatment. He was supposed to undergo his radiation treatment by February and blood transplant this month.

According to a doctor, who was not authorized to speak to the media, Francis Magallona died due to multiple organ failure.

Immediately rushing to the hospital to condole the Magalona family were long time friends Michael V, Ogie Alcasid and Herbert Bautista. Then came Rosa Rosal, the chairwoman of the Philippine National Red Cross Blood Donation program.

The whole Magalona family was around Francis when he died.

He was 44.
