70 Former Dell Employees File A Lawsuit Against Dell Philippines
70 of the 1000+ employees of Dell Pasay, who were forced to resign as part of the company’s transition to Teleperformance, headed to the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) to file a lawsuit against Dell International Services Philippines, Incorporated yesterday.
The 70 former employees claim that the immediate dismissal of the employees is against their employment contracts.
According to Labor Secretary Marianito Roque, the termination of the said employees was not mass retrenchment and has nothing to do with the prevailing global financial crisis.
Dell Philippines is yet to give out a statement regarding the issue as they have not received a copy of the compaints against them yet, says Dell corporate communications head Hector Jimenez.

well TP is an another issue, like discrepancy in the salary? goodluck to the world of call centers…
this type of issue is one of the main sample of injustice in world of labor and should be subjected to the court of law… (maybe court of law from the US not here)… our law here is stinks!!!…
West inc is still the best when it comes to call center companies… fair and square! i miss going back at west. they are the best!

Did they receive separation pay from Dell? If not, then they have some grounds against Dell.

Yes, they received separation pay from Dell. Tenured Dell employees who have worked there for more than 1 year received more than 100,000 pesos and those who stayed to work with Teleperformance received about 60,000 – 90,000 (estimate) after their third month with Teleperformance.
