January 24, 2009 – another truck fatality happens within a week when George Eisenhart, 41, gets crushed by a monster truck during the Motor Sports Monster Truck and Thrill Show at Dane County Coliseum.

According to the Monster Truck Racing Association’s review of the incident, Eisenhart accidentally moved in front of the vehicle in a manner that did not give the driver enough time to react.

Ironically, during an interview with CNN a week before Eisenhart’s death, he said “This is our 16th year, I wish I had a big piece of wood to knock on right now, but we have not had an incident besides a gal slipping in the aisleway at another location.”

The first fatality within the week happened when flying debris kill a 6-year old boy, Sebastian Hizey, during another monster truck event called Monster Jam Show at Tacoma, Washington.
