Here are the instructions on how to show files and folders in hidden status in windows.

1. click Start
2. click My Computer, the My Computer window should appear
3. click Tools on the menu bar
4. click Folder Options
5. look for the item that says “Hidden files and folders“
6. click on “Show hidden files and folders“
7. click “Ok”
8. tap on F5 on your keyboard
9. close the My Computer window
10. you should be able to see all hidden files and folders

For instructions on how to hide files and folders:

1. right click on the file or folder that you would like to hide
2. on Attributes, make sure that “Hidden” is checked.
3. click “Ok”
4. press F5 on your keyboard to refresh
5. your file/folder should be out of sight!
