You are browsing the internet like you usually do: check your emails, pay your bills through the bank website, or play online games when all of a sudden, you get a message on your screen that says you are infected with a virus or a spyware and it would show you how many hundreds of viruses and spyware are in your system. You almost cannot do anything on the computer because everywhere you click on the screen, the computer gives you a warning and forces you to download an antivirus software that would remove all of the infectiond from your computer for only $39 or $49. Shocked by the situation, you leave the computer standing there for you to get some air and when you come back to the computer, you will be looking at a blue screen saying something like “A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage on our computer,” then goes saying again that you need to buy an antivirus software.

In the past few days, more and more computers have been infected by a certain family of viruses that uses official logo that represents Windows Security center that looks like a shield with 4 colors: green, red, yellow and blue. They commonly name themselves Vista Antivirus, XP Antivirus 2008, MS Antivirus, XP AntiSpyware, Antivirus 2009 and a lot more name’s that you can think of by combining the words Vista, XP or MS, Antivirus or antispyware and 2008 or 2009.

To remove the virus from your system, you may try to download free programs like SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes or Trojan Remover and run a scan on the system to remove the infections. You may need to remove these programs from your computer after removing infections because these programs are free trial versions and are only valid for a short period of time like 30 days or even less. However, if the programs are not able to remove the infections from your computer, you may need to call the manufacturer of your computer like Dell or HP to ask for support regarding the issue.

If you call the manufacturer of your computer to get support for it, most manufacturers charge for virus removal issues that range from $100-$300. There are also some third party companies like Geek Squad that provide fee-based support for software for approximately $150-$300.
